Hey all, we're there (Dumb & Dumber qoute)! Today is our first full day in Jakarta. We slept through the night, no mystery bugs were swallowed in our sleep or loud prayers over the local mosque PA system, sorry Justin. So far we have eaten a ton of food, watched volleyball and worshiped with our brothers and sisters at JICF church.
Both Kyle and I are so thankful for the prayers from all you guys back home. We've already seen the Lord answer prayer, everywhere from keeping us safe to introducing us to new people and providing several ways to serve.
Please keep praying for us.
Glad to hear you guys are safe and having a good time. I must admit I kinda was hoping Kyle could experience the joy of waking up in the middle of the night with a tasty treat in his mouth. :)
ReplyDeleteDon't worry Andy, Jack is doing good he and I went for a walk to Starbucks this morning before church. Along the way he had to put everything in his mouth. He is all puppy. We are enjoying him for sure. Praying for you guys each day and I can't wait to hear all the stories.

ReplyDeleteIt's Tuesday night here. You guys lost your kickball game tonight :( 3 to 1. Not a bad loss. We still have Jack. He and Joey are wrestling in the living room right now. Jack loves me (Summer) and I've grown pretty fond of him too, he's an irresistible dufus (please don't take that the wrong way) LOL. He's actually a pretty good boy (despite the first evenings cupcake mishap, ahem, no more food on counters). But he is being well taken care of and well loved by all of us, especially the girls. Last night him and his tail had a battle and I think his tail won? I'm sure he misses you. Probably going to be taking him to the Kowomoto's sometime this week, not sure which day. We just couldn't give him away so soon :)
